Along with the weekly goals I set for myself, I have a list of long term goals I wish to accomplish. No… Long term goals I WILL accomplish. I am the type of person who takes forever to make a decision but once the decision is made, it will happen. I WILL be healthier. I WILL exercise often. I WILL accomplish my goals. I will fall down. I will struggle with the challenges I set for myself but I will keep moving forward. I will accomplish what I set out to do. Even if that means, dragging my big lazy butt the whole way through this journey. At least, I’ll be getting exercise because this butt is heavy! So here is a list of the goals I want to accomplish:
Starting weight: 270
- Pre-pregnancy weight: 250 pounds
- Lose 40 pounds
- Lose 60 pounds
- Get under 200 pounds
- Lose 80 pounds
- Lose 100 pounds and reach my ideal weight: 170!!!!
Non-weight related goals
- Walk 5 miles at one time
- Walk 20 miles in one week
Start doing yoga regularly (2-3 times a week) Work up to doing 3 strength-training workouts a week 3 strength-training workouts a week, plus 2 yoga workouts
- Become fit enough to start jogging by the fall (October)
- Look like I did in the picture to the right
- Walk/Jog a 5k
- Do 5 regular push-ups
- Get fit and toned
- Do a warrior dash, tough mudder or some sort of obstacle course race!
I have been sedentary for a long time so it will take me a while to work up to working out as often as most fit people. I know I can do it! As I lose weight, build stamina, and develop muscle, I will add more non-weight related goals.
